Oct 23, 2024. Past Events
Date: October 23, 2024
Time: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Pacific Time
Location: Virtual (Zoom)
Join us for the LaserNetUS Proposal Writing Workshop, designed to equip researchers with the tools and insights needed to craft successful proposals for Cycle 7. This virtual event, organized by LaserNetUS User Group members Dr. Quynh Nguyen and Dr. Elizabeth Grace, offers a unique opportunity to meet Prof. Matthew Edwards, the new Chair of the Proposal Review Panel (PRP), who will share his vision for the proposal review process. Additionally, Dr. Arianna Gleason, former PRP Chair, will provide expert advice and best practices, drawing from her extensive experience evaluating proposals.
This cycle introduces significant updates, including the new Universal Proposal System (UPS). Additionally, we have moved to a PI/Co-PI structure, and all collaborators must have an active UPS account before submission to avoid incomplete proposals.

- Introduction to the new Universal Proposal System (UPS) and its collaborative features
- Q&A with successful past applicants and LaserNetUS facility representatives
- Key changes for Cycle 7—adoption of the PI/Co-PI structure and new collaborator requirements
